Day of the Dead Mexico City Group Tours in 2022
Mexico City: Day of the Dead Group Tour- October, 2022
October 29 - November 3, 2022
Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) is a Mexican holiday where families remember and honor those who have passed away. Dating back several thousand years to Aztec times, Day of the Dead is far from a day of mourning, but rather, it’s a festive holiday celebrating the lives of deceased loved ones.
This small group tour will connect you with Mexican culture and tradition through life-changing experiences and extraordinary people you won’t find in a guidebook.
Should you be interested in Mexico City’s famous Day of the Dead parades (which always happen a week or two before Day of the Dead), consider joining my new “Day of the Dead: Parades and Preparation” group tour October 21st-26th, 2022.
Small group tour to Mexico City
Join this unforgettable trip to one of the most colorful (and delicious!) countries in the world. This authentic, small group tour is packed full of Day of the Dead activities, along with bike rides through diverse and interesting neighborhoods; food tasting tours; visits to food, flower, and witchcraft markets; trips to pre-Aztec pyramids; and the opportunity to participate in the Dia de los Muertas ofrenda altar building celebration.
EscapingNY small group tours are fast-paced, action packed, and geared at curious travelers that enjoy non-traditional, off-the-beaten-path, local travel experiences. They are perfect for travelers who avoid run-of-the-mill big bus tours or who prefer traveling alone.
This is a group tour for people who don’t do group tours.
Please note that the itinerary is subject to change to ensure that we are only visiting areas that are safe, practice social distancing, and are free from recent outbreaks. Though we will certainly explore Mexico City, we will spend the majority of our time in surrounding pueblos and villages, where the crowds are much smaller.
The maximum number of participants on this small group tour will be eight people and face masks are required during all group activities and while visiting any indoor establishments, including, but not limited to: hotels, restaurants, museums, pyramids, and homes.
